I've seen the first part of this countless times, and have always been not able to watch the rest. So, I finally saw the final part today. It feels like I've achieved something in my life, it really has. I love it.
That being said, I can't wait to watch this again all the way through part 1 and part 2, I'm gonna love it even more then, and as it is, I still looooove it.
You see, I'm a massive huge fan of Disney Parks. I go at least once a year, and it's one of the big reasons I got into film. So, I've been on Pirates of the Caribbean ride several times, and it's a great ride.
The simple fact they were able to make such a big scope, great characters, amazing lore, iconic theme and such clever writing using a 5 minute ride with some drunk pirates singing about being pirates and that is it is- well, quite frankly an achievement.
This entire film is an achievement. It's what blockbusters used to be. Like Star Wars and Jurassic Park. It had energy, passion, it felt new.
I literally did a few fist bumps in the air towards the final act, it was so riveting and freaking awesome.
Also, this is going to inspire some choices for the school play I'm doing in April, Peter and the Starcatchers. I play a pirate character, and it's gonna be pretty dope.
Anyways, this movie is quite frankly an epic burst of greatness, and I'm glad I finally saw it.
Now, it's time to watch it again in it's two parts back to back, and watch the sequels- ehh maybe. Heard they are pretty bad, I'll hope for the best though.
