No fights? No kissing? This finale sucks!
Different in the best way possible. They could have taken the easy route and adapted the graphic novels but they took a risk and made their own thing. It works. The audience now have three distinct Scott Pilgrims to choose from. (Graphic Novels / Movie / TV Show)
The highlight of this series is just how well they nailed the art style and animation. It's absolutely gorgeous to look at and a really fun watch.
I'm giving an extra half a star for the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost cameos.
Barry Keoghan absolutely fucking earns that Oscar. Holy Fucking Shit.
I finally saw Saltburn after failing to get tickets at the BFI LFF 2023 and it was worth the wait. This is a great movie to go into completely blind because I watched it with my parents and I have no regrets. (They really enjoyed it if you want to know) Beautiful, horny, campy, dark and brilliant . Emerald Fennell is an incredible director and I can’t wait to see…
If the Queen was a serial killer, I'd be the first person she'd tell.
The Lying Detective is a solid episode in the Sherlock show but one of the weakest. Regardless it’s an enjoyable watch but no where near the height of the first two seasons. The ending was quite ridiculous personally.
Sherlock: S4 Ep 2
Birthday Watch - 17
A true lesson in comedic timing and storytelling. This is an entertaining watch where my enjoyment comes out of watching events unfold. I would never have planned to watch this but I’m glad I did.
You dirty, little, Bengali, sewer rat..
Poison is a great story made better through the performance of Cumberbatch and the editing. It’s incredibly tense and your focus is dead set on the screen. I loved all the subtext I hadn’t noticed reading it, the PTSD of a solider and shell shock. I think this one and Henry Sugar is the most rewatchable.
Wes Anderson’s Roald Dahl (Film Four of Four)
Wes Anderson: Ranked
With these four shorts I hope he decides to make another four adaptations in the future
Doctor Who is Back The Star Beast is a great episode to kick off the 60th Anniversary specials. David Tennant and Catherine Tate are phenomenal actors but their on screen chemistry is something else.
The Star Beast isn’t perfect. As a Standalone episode, some moments are clumsily dealt with, and some dramatic moments are resolved way to quickly. There’s enough familiarity to get new people into Doctor Who and stuff there for the fans. The brand new TARDIS was absolutely stunning.
I really enjoyed this.
