Logan Kenny’s review published on Letterboxd:
Mark Rylance giving the same sickeningly ableist performance that he gave in Ready Player One made me sick to my stomach. never gets easier to see heartless actors without any compassion or soul take autistic tics and contort them into something cruel and stereotypical, mocking our mannerisms and crafting a portrait of us that dehumanises our existences even further than society already does. it is disgusting work from Rylance and McKay should be ashamed of himself for enabling it. on top of this, Don’t Look Up is the worst written, most noxious piece of shit I’ve seen since, Bohemian Rhapsody? has nothing to say, nothing to offer, no good performances, not even my favourite musician Kid Cudi can make it bearable in the slightest. McKay has made some of my favourite comedies ever made but he’s clearly forgotten how to write a joke, and has made up for that absence by embedding his works with casual hatred and smug condescension.
