Jon Walmsley’s review published on Letterboxd:
It has a bit of cable-TV Murder Mystery Drama about it, and it's all very daft but there's still some fun to be had. I liked the unsubtle commentary on the Weinstein-era of Hollywood. Extra creepy because it is a Weinstein production. Like he was laughing in our faces.
Neve was fun too and it was a nice touch keeping her as more of a macguffin than the main heroine, which is an interesting choice that worked pretty well.
But the story didn't really make a lot of sense, old characters were ludicrously reintroduced and it all felt a bit shoehorned together. Overall it was clunky and not really worthy of the Scream name.
Can't say I'm overly excited to check out Scream 4.
