When I started watching this film, I quickly made comparisons with Blade Runner 2049 (2017). I knew I had to get rid of this quickly, because this is a completely different film.
Personally, I thought it was a very difficult film. I knew what the story was about, but so much eluded me. I didn't get certain information which made it difficult to focus. As the film progressed, my attention drifted further and further. Even the ending didn't do much for me.
What did surprise me positively was Rutger Hauer, good to see him again in his younger years. His performance was also very good. Entourage, scenery, creating atmosphere was sublime, but this didn't suck me into the story either. In general I think it's a pity that a film can be fantastic in form, but in terms of story it doesn't do anything with me at all.
