Film Club - picked by Matt Larsen
Perhaps the second film does a better job fleshing out the character, but I sorta felt Apu was almost a non-entity in this portion of the trilogy - minus some key scenes like when they go see the train, he makes a crown imitating the actors he saw at the festival and when he throws (spoiler) away. I found myself wanting it to be the "Durga trilogy" instead, but I guess that will have to be only be in my mind, alas.
