    This was delightful. A rich Christmas fan has been paying a company to dig in a mountain on the Finnish/Russian border. Their success has unexpected results. As the evil Santa's elves, old naked human men in appearance, start to roam the countryside only young Pietari has been paying attention and knows what to do. Pietari and the supporting cast are fleshed out just enough to make this adventure tale hit home just right.

    The great Shelley Winters stars as Auntie Roo, a rich widow who invites a bunch of orphans over every Christmas. Katy catches Roo's eye as she reminds her so much of her dead daughter who she keeps the mummified remains of in her old bedroom. Katy's brother Christopher is very suspicious as Roo reminds him of the witch in Hansel and Gretel, the tale he tells Katy on most nights. This was great fun as Winters can deliver Roo's unabashed…
