i think it was set in stone that i watched this today bc my friends and i were literally just talking abt the multiverse AND my mother moments ago????

okay before i become a mess, i just wanna say: MICHELLE YEOH BEST ACTRESS OSCAR right now! i’m claiming it! like there was literally a moment where i saw my mother in evelyn or maybe it’s just trauma (idk and idc!). she’s so fucking great. also, i feel like she would…

i missed the feel-good quality to cheesy rom-coms like i enjoyed this more than i expected. also, weirdly enough, this boosted some fascination i have for owen wilson that i cannot for the life of me understand. and damn, the soundtrack?? it’s playing in my head on a loop now.

this is now officially a yelena belova simp account 🥵

and honestly… rachel weisz can do absolutely no wrong in my eyes! whatever it is she’s plotting in that pretty head of hers, i’m in it with her and bring yelena too.

i am at a loss for words for this one but i’ll state the obvious: damn, kristen stewart is DETERMINED to get that oscar and i’ll be joining the gays who will be parading her for best actress.

i am just so in awe of pablo larrain’s direction. it felt like every frame, every shot was done deliberately to add a more poignant texture to its story. it really evoked that melancholic and suffocating feeling of being stuck in place of discontentment and isolation.

might rewatch this again soon because i like my movies a little sad with a dash of some thriller elements xx
