i have no idea the controversy behind this film or its book and author, but I don’t care to learn it because it’s just not worth my time or energy, tbh.

this was good for what it’s worth, but in the end I felt like daisy’s character is pretty shallowly written — born into a damsel in distress lifestyle but also having moments and the capacity of ingenious.. why did her life have to revolve around men? just another kind of underlying misogynistic film lowkey to me.

other than that kind of elephant in the room to me, I did enjoy this like I said. I didn’t hate it, I didn’t love it!
