  They really just don't make films like this anymore.
  If this was made today the cast would be 12 people and every other person and background would be cgi.

  I really wish I could have watched this in the theatre.

  My wife hated it, my kids got bored of it but as terrible as it was I enjoyed reminiscing about watching this countless times as a kid.

  Why did I wait 33 years to watch this?

  This movie still holds up, it was made at the perfect time, if they made it a few years later all the worms would be terrible CGI and the movie would be worse for it.

  Practical effects continue to prove they are worth the investment.
