“I’m a railroad man, not a prophet!”
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this! It is particularly well shot and paced. I initially thought The Train would be fairly predictable, but as the movie kept throwing more surprises and tension my way, the more and more I enjoyed it.
Plus, it’s hard to go wrong with Burt.

A Hidden Life’s pace demands your attention, but has stuck with me for days every time I watch it. The music. The narration and the dialogue. The sounds. The nature. The themes and messages. The FEELINGS.
I just can’t get enough.
When Leo was sitting on the bed with tears welling in his eyes, surrounded by fire… I knew I was watching something special.
An incredibly important and dark story, pulled off impeccably by Marty S. I loved the entire thing — even with the long runtime.

This was worse than the god damn aliens.
Why is everything so dark? And like seriously, no landscape shots? Truthfully my biggest complaint lies in that Dial of Destiny, in no way, feels, looks, moves or acts like an Indiana Jones movie. The camera work is completely forgettable (IN AN INDIANA JONES MOVIE).
