i missed out on watching this with my brother a while ago, and have regretted it for the longest time. it could be likely that at the age i’m seeing this — as my film teacher’s said he actually liked this less as he grew up.
definitely a whole 2 hours of being totally unsettled by this eerie film, along with my first watch of a lead performance by jake gyllenhall, and damn! the soundtrack is elite, the editing of the real/“frank” scenarios. even the CGI — which isn’t the best — isn’t enough to offset the effects of this one.
