Definitely is the feel bad movie of the year and pretty much showcases the opposite of hygge. Also would make one question who you make friends with on holiday. Get to know them very well first before going to visit them at their home. There were some interesting ideas about manners and differences of opinion and how people do things differently. The last 20-30 minutes are unnerving and joylessly bleak. Very disturbing film. Maybe I needed a little more clarity on the motivations of some of the characters but other than that it’s a decent and horrifying movie that will linger with you. It accomplishes that.
