what an incredible film and i am kind of at a loss for words. mesmerizing performances by daniel kaluuya and lakeith stanfield, showcasing they are both an unstoppable force. the writing and directing kept me enthralled during the entire time. the score was incredible and was a big factor in keeping me on the edge of my seat. and the use of archival footage was so powerful. knowing what happens to fred hampton doesn't soften the blow when you see it play out and it actually pained me even more. the story of fred hampton is an important one so, i hope many will watch this film and know about what he fought for and what the chicago police/fbi did to him.
films based on a true story always make me go in search of a book that explains certain situations even more and i will definitely being doing that here.
