Andrew Presnell’s review published on Letterboxd:
I was very excited to hear about this project month ago. I've always been a pretty big James Wan fan. Add Jason Blum and a good premise and just take my money. I wasn't too keen on learning this movie was only going to carry a PG-13 rating. Tik Tok ruins everything, I guess. To be honest, though, for being only PG-13 I thought this was done incredibly well. There could have been more gore and grit, but at the end of the day, I don't think that's what they were going for here anyway.
The humor in this movie was top notch. The entire theater was laughing for a good portion of the film. I didn't expect it to be this funny, but it was placed so well in between tense moment, really well done. As far as originality goes, there wasn't much going on here. The movie was pretty predictable, but I didn't find that too upsetting since the movie was so well done and entertaining.
