    Fincher definitely is a master of his craft but I didn’t like this as much as everyone else did in some ways. Maybe I’ve seen this plot in so many B movies so this just felt like a much more polished version of stories I’ve seen before. Still it’s really good! Fassbender is terrific, the pacing is awesome and the Smiths song motifs are spot on. But in the end I just kind of was like “nice.”

    The practical makeup and creature effects are really neat. I liked the message of the ending of the film. Reading other reviews not sure if they got what it was going for but I totally understood it’s statement and major respect for that.

    I liked the sets and creatures as well as the puppetry work. And the over the top blood and gore was fun in its style. I’m not sure why their is such complicated and ultimately convoluted lore…
