Fincher definitely is a master of his craft but I didn’t like this as much as everyone else did in some ways. Maybe I’ve seen this plot in so many B movies so this just felt like a much more polished version of stories I’ve seen before. Still it’s really good! Fassbender is terrific, the pacing is awesome and the Smiths song motifs are spot on. But in the end I just kind of was like “nice.”

The practical makeup and creature effects are really neat. I liked the message of the ending of the film. Reading other reviews not sure if they got what it was going for but I totally understood it’s statement and major respect for that.

Mark Rylod’s makes impressive work of the satirical “The Menu.” A movie with a delicate tone that manages to capture it with full blazing energy. This is a movie best seen with a crowd, my theater was laughing hysterically and gasping in horror nearly every scene.

James Gunn sticks the landing and delivers a solid and balanced trilogy with an equally compelling final chapter under his watch.
A good story is needed no matter the spectacle and Gunn delivers that with an earnest and sincere plea. It’s well written, well acted, and for the most part has solid cinematography.
