Despite the ending falling a bit short (I expected too much okay), I just love how they really gave depth to the female leads. Quite sad that this is still relevant. Men are trash talaga
Ang sikreto namin dito para sa masayang buhay: 'Wag na wag mong gagawin sa kapwa mo sa kahit na anong kadahilanan o kahit na anong rason o sino o kailan o saan man manggaling at saan man pupunta, 'wag na 'wag , sa kahit na anong rason kung ano pa 'man yan...kahit anong dahilan o rason at pagkakataon. kahit kailan.

I wondered why I didn't give this a 5-star back then. Then it hit me as I watched -- I fucking hate rape scenes. The screaming, the tearing of clothes, the loss of control, these all felt so painful it almost made me cry. I kept screaming Mima's name in the hopes of breaking her free from the chains.
Rewatching this after four years and it's still disturbing as ever. But now that I've matured, the story hits different.
