Leighton Trent’s review published on Letterboxd:
Raw. Passionate. Seething. Righteous. Monumental. Revolutionary.
There could be a thousand more words to describe what kind of film Judas and the Black Messiah is. Two days later and I'm still struggling to cohesively put together my thoughts on this extraordinarily rich and textured piece of filmmaking Shaka King has delivered us. This is the first true knockout of 2021 and deserves many more Oscars than it will likely be nominated for. This film right here is the only good reason for the 2020/2021 extended Oscar season this year.
Daniel Kaluuya for ALL the awards please 🔥🔥🔥
