🎃 Leighton Trent 🎃’s review published on Letterboxd:
🎶It's the most wonderful time of the year...🎶
While the sequel is a whole other kind of (delicious) flavor, Dante knew how to craft this kiddie Christmas horror delight here to perfection. Keep it simple stupid. And he does. There are no explanations, no origins, nothing extraneous. We don't need it. Just sit back and enjoy the demented ride. It's B-movie mayhem in disguise as a mainstream Christmas pleasure. That it's become a classic for Christmas time is a bit of a facsimile as it's a damn good movie any day of the year. And Kate's macabre Christmas story about her father, well that shakes my belly like a bowl full of jelly every. single. time.
"You say you hate Washington's Birthday or Thanksgiving and nobody cares, but you say you hate Christmas and people treat you like you're a leper."
