AFI Fest - Film #13
Coming to Netflix as well, this was much better than Bird Box. It is a slow burn film, and reaches its pinnacle toward the end. It is about Cleo, a maid who is despised by people in a higher class, but loved by the children in her care. I ultimately was touched by it, even though some scary things like an earthquake, angry ocean, and a violent student demonstration are featured.
Vegan alert:
-There is an egg cracking scene.
-There are numerous animal heads on the wall. There are embalmed animals too.
