you guys don’t understand. eastern european gruesome horror where they lure someone into a rural area to torture and kill them is my FUEL. my food. my air. my water. i need it to survive. franchises like The Hostel and Nobody Sleeps in the Woods Tonight are my joker. my masterpiece. my villain origin story.

    Five Feet Apart

I’m tired. I’m tired of writers and filmmakers and filmwatchers romanticizing these illnesses and hospital life. I don’t want to watch any more films or tv shows or read books about cancer patients making out in an Anne Frank house or suicidal teens talking about how they’d kill themselves under the stars or infected patients falling in love through a wall “five feet apart”. How many of these do we have to make before people stop romanticizing dying?

  • Gone Girl

    Gone Girl

    ★★★★½

Look, I loved this film as much as the next person. But women like Amy Dunne or Love Quinn doing all this shit and going far and beyond and us calling it “girl power” and “girlboss” just goes to show sometimes women will do anything for love except leave the shitty men and find it somewhere else.
