    Siegel™

I'm thinking of ending Charlie Kaufman, that man understand too much about humanity. It's so scary being alive knowing he's out there and that he knows everything about me and my deepest most personal thoughts and feelings. Ultimately, however, it is this profound understanding of the insecurity about our own futility that makes his commiseration with our meaningless lives so much more effective. How do u give more than 5 stars?

my dad walked in while james was talking about his year-long nervous breakdown, sat for about five minutes and then turned to me and said, completely deadpan, “he reminds me of you” and walked out of the room. one of the few times in recent history I’ve been rendered speechless by my own father. another time I can recall is when he accused me of singlehandedly orchestrating the pandemic so I could get out of buying a parking pass.

it's hard to watch a skilled comedian waste clever punchlines on material that's inherently awful, also not a fan of him using a dead trans woman as a shield

A movie where very old man Clint asks the ultimate question: why be a macho man when you can be a nice man?

i'm going to say something very very serious here. and i am not joking. nothing fuels me like this stuff. nothing makes life worth living like an addison rae acting debut netflix movie teen romcom remake. there is no sarcasm here. genuinely nothing keeps me going like the silliness of stuff like this. all the seriousness of life, work, university, family arrangements, trying to find time to see friends when literally nobody's schedule lines up because you're all adults now…
