The Menu

The Menu ★★★★½

After feeling disappointed in myself for not seeing all types of new stuff in theaters so I went out and saw The Menu. The first thing I want to get out of the way is how nice the cinematography especially when it comes to dishes being made. But it's just the combined nature of a thriller and food show that will make you have nothing but the best.

As each course was presented I was into it to see what would happen next, and Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes really keep it going. Margot is headstrong and determined to make this out alive while Chef Julian will break you more than the dish itself. I think the direction is good here and it knows what it wants to do and it shows it through the other chefs. My favorite from the supporting cast was John Leguizamo. I can't help but think that the story deconstructs its guest they think that they are perfect but their not and break them down. So many things to pick but all I can say is I'm really craving a cheeseburger.
