Theatrical Cut (158min):
Honestly can’t tell the difference between the 162min Director’s Cut!!! It’s also been years since I've watched it. Will definitely rewatch it, the Director’s Cut, soon! Fincher marathon coming up soon in preparation for Mank (2020) being released on Netflix next month!
Definitely one of my favorite films. I can see so much of Polanski’s Chinatown (1974) in this! Great score here from David Shire (search him up!). Love the rock tracks throughout the film. So much ambiguity and uncertainty in the film, be it through the dialogue, editing and overall narrative. Like in real life, we don’t get a conclusion to the case and story.
Definitely watch this if you haven’t already!
