Got this dvd (in very good condition) for 33 cents at a Swapmeet. Such a steal given the BluRay is out of print and dvd goes for like 10$+ dollars.

Great film. William Friedkin is such an under appreciated filmmaker. Most people point of The Exorcist and The French Connection but I think that he has a filmography full of uncovered gems and films that are genuinely well made and entertaining. This is the sixth film I’ve seen in his filmography and dammit it’s great! It has a true 80s feeling to it, and isn’t too flashy but has a more gritty and grounded feeling to it. The cinematography in the urban and industrial sectors of Los Angeles are great and it really gives to immersion into the world of the film. It’s an intense film with a great cast and story. The ending was unexpected for sure!
