There are action movies and there are action movies and then there is John Wick: Chapter 4.
A three hour long orgy of carnage, blood and bullets that never lets up and surprisingly never overstays its welcome to become my favorite movie of the year so far and my favorite movie in the series.
Keanu Reeves yeahs it up, Donnie Yen slices and dices it up, Rina Sawayama badasses it up and the Asian influences are felt during the entire experience.
I just can’t begin to describe the overwhelming amount of action contained within this gigantic neon infused piece of cinema, how the techno soundtrack pumped me during the sword fights, the fist fights, the shoot outs.
I can’t begin to describe how much I had an andrenaline rush during so many of the sequences, how I absolutely CREAMED MY FUCKING pants during them all.
Like my god, this movie was the shit and I didn’t want it to end. I just wanted it to keep going, no matter how exhausted they all looked during the action.
This can slot in comfortably among Mad Max: Fury Road, The Raid 2 and M:I: Fallout as one of the greatest action movies ever made.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is absolute fucking perfection and no matter how many buildings and planes Tom Cruise will jump off of, there’s no way in hell that he’ll be able to top this!!
