RANDOM THOUGHTS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER
• Not sure what I was expecting, but Parallax View meets Argento’s Phenomenon certainly wasn’t it
• This also feels more like a Cronenberg movie than any other De Palma film I’ve seen, from the body horror (and body explosions) to the bleakness of the last 15 minutes
• Kirk Douglas was 62(!) when this came out and he’s absolutely fucking jacked in this

• It’s a testament to how strong the rest of the film is that I can still love this movie despite it having the worst onscreen romance I’ve ever seen. I just think Christensen and Portman are totally miscast here and they have no gravitas to elevate admittedly disastrous dialogue
