Today is probably bear day ๐Ÿป. After I watched a nice documentary about bears this morning, "Brother Bear" followed.
This wonderful animated film tells a heartwarming and funny story that I definitely haven't watched for the last time.
The culture reminded me of one of my childhood series "Yakari".
It takes a while for the story to get going or until it was "involved" (after the transformation) but then after a short time, certain characters grew on me, such asโ€ฆ

"Our souls at night" has a charming basic plot. Nothing earth-shattering but something to feel good and a bit drama. The pacing of the movie suits them/their age (main characters) and accordingly it's quite slow but somehow relaxing ๐Ÿ˜…
Unbelievable...I just saw that R.Redford and J.Fonda starred together in a movie back in 1967 (Barefoot in the park) and 50 years later (2017) again in this film ( :

    I'm a little disappointed...
Although Jackie Brown is in my opinion definitely the "weakest" Tarantino film I've seen so far, it's still a solid film. It's probably because it isn't that entertaining/cool/funny and violent.
Moreover, it is way too long ) :
However the dialogues are good though as well as the actors.
Last but not least I have to mention: Samuel L Jackson looks terrific...that beard and the haircut are just legendary๐Ÿ˜‚

When I first heard about Spiderhead's plot I had to think of Kubricks Clockwork orange as there is a certain parallel. I liked the trailer I thought I'd give it a chance. I was also particularly attracted to Miles Teller and the director who recently delivered terrific action with Top gun- Maverick.
In terms of tonality and atmosphere the whole thing is of course completely different than Clickwork Orange and in the end it reminded me more of a longโ€ฆ
