Aidan Staggs’s review published on Letterboxd:
From a purely technical standpoint, I think that Blade Runner is one of the best movies ever made.
Even setting aside the awesome visual effects, every frame of this is just leaking with life. The heavy, pattering rain, the dense fog, the jarring blue spotlights, and piercing industrial noises do an excellent job of immersing the viewer into the grimy, hellish world that these characters inhabit. I still have a view small problems with this, but that doesn’t at all stop it from being one of the most effective mood pieces I’ve witnessed and an overall great piece of cinema.
Also, seeing this in 4K knocked the wind straight out of me.
