Letterboxd — Your life in film

Jankel Morton Cut: Not better, but also not really a new cut. Just felt like watching a workprint where they were sorting out timings of jokes and character beats to omit. It for sure has more stuff (RAP!), but nothing to really alter the fabric of whatever this movie is.

Like Hollywood ate some bad money and had to poo it all out really quickly.

Like the original except its total fucking dog shit.

Confounding yet interesting. I can't say I got anything from it but it leaves you thinking.

Three star film, four star experience

A perfect storm of Cage accents, hair and comedy. This is a great Coen Bros movie with an exceptional supporting cast.

Big, dum and full of fun. One of the better performances by Nic Cage's hair in a movie.

Nicolas Cage in the Top Gun knock off you didn't know existed. Tommy Lee Jones gives an exceptional performance with a fudgsicle. It's silly, stupid and great.

A haunting portrait of alcoholism. A filthy movie that leaves you dirty with an unquestionable, incredible Cage performance.
