Dario says you’re GOING TO WATCH MY VIOLENCE, hits play on his hard rock, and lets loose.
Dario really freaked it with this one. I didn’t realize how high of a level technically Opera was working on my first viewing, but it’s astonishing. Everything is firing on all cylinders.

It's not fully a return to form for Argento, but he's going the right direction this time! Compelling characters, STYLE, prostitutes being murdered, it's reminiscent and even nostalgic filmmaking but after two decades of face plants what else can you ask for? Despite the breakneck pace, it's quite relaxed, and I'm supportive of a laidback grandpa Dario making (hopefully) a couple more movies into a prolonged swan song
