Blade Runner

Blade Runner

I fell asleep about 40 minutes into watching Ridley Scott's celebrated, iconic adaptation of Philip. K. Dick's celebrated work. This, I didn't understand; it's a recognised classic, much beloved by many. So I jumped in again from where I dropped off... and just ten minutes later I felt the eyelids drooping once more.

That's when I decided to check out.

I can't deny it looks visually arresting, but I'm afraid the glacial pace, Harrison Ford's subdued performance and the awful soundtrack did nothing for me. To enjoy this I sense you have to buy into the world Scott created here and, well... I didn't. Not for me, I'm afraid.
