there had to be no more than five people in the theater when i saw this, but when the end credits showed i kid you not when i say every single one of us sat there in awe, reveling and processing what we just saw
if I'm being completely honest with myself, this movie was not all that i expected to be. but that's not to say that it wasn't poignant, heartbreaking, and incredibly well-done. barry jenkins' direction and dialogue was searing and each and every actor playing chiron had such an intensity and skill for conveying the story.
long story short, if this doesn't win best picture im sueing the academy
