This is what happens when you are making a movie about the true loss of lives, but it's for AV buffs to show off their home theaters. It feels very thin. None of the characters are very flushed out, so it's difficult to care about what happens next. It's too bad. There's a solid film in there somewhere.

THIS FUCKING MOVIE! It has so many problems, but I love it. You get The Notebook formula, but instead of old versions of the young couple, you get young versions of Alan Arkin and his wife. I Am Nancy

Probably the worst documentary I've ever seen. Watch Heather Langenkamp masturbate for 71 minutes while Wes Craven and Robert Englund are embarrassed for her. Watch a handy cam passed around a horror convention where a half hour is dedicated to finding an action figure of Nancy. Watch some guy get a tattoo of Freddy. This is more of a special feature on a Blu-Ray (that you never watch), than a stand alone piece. Piss poor.

    Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead

    ★½

The first Joy Ride, written by J.J. Abrams, was actually one of the better horror movies of its time. This one treats the audience like they're stupid. The killer knows everything all the time, but we're never told why (because the filmmakers don't know why). At times, the victims know everything. At the end of the movie, the lead finds where the semi is parked in the middle of the desert. This movie tries to be more like a Hostel movie than its namesake.
