Andrew Haase’s review published on Letterboxd:
I 100% understand this is not for everybody, but I really loved this. Austin Butler is unreal as Elvis. Tom Hanks is not as bad as I was anticipating him to be. Easily one of his most unlikable characters. I felt the energy throughout this and I felt Luhrmann’s style really complimented the world of Elvis. It’s unabashedly a Luhrmann film, but I was super ok with it for once. One of my favorites of the year so far.
