Marathon on tv and watched the first three all today, and I just have to say that I adore the books. The Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite Harry Potter book, and undoubtedly the best Harry Potter movie as well.
Honestly, much of why this one is so much more special than the other movies and why I love it is really because of Alfonso Cuarón's direction. While staying I think more so faithful to the book than the others (and I'm someone who wishes it was possible for these movies to be 100% accurate to the books -ha), his stylistic choices are still unique and perfectly set the growingly darker and moodier tone to the series and I would have loved to see what he would've done with the other ones. The shots are sublime and refreshing and overall the cinematography is breathtaking. Also I just LOVE LOVE David Thewlis as Remus and same with Gary Oldman as Sirius. Two of my favourite characters from the books and they're supposed to be younger, but the casting choices are phenomenal and worth ageing the characters.
also just happy the semester is done and more movies for me :)
