Brendan Taylor’s review published on Letterboxd:
The only reason I can come up with concerning any affection for RAWHEAD REX is that kids who grew up when it was released liked the evocative title and monster, because this film is a complete bore. The pacing is excruciatingly slow and the film looks like it cost $3. The acting is terrible, especially from the whole Hallenbeck family and the woman playing Dennis’ wife. The mask looks like something from Tommy Jarvis’ bedroom. Do not blame Clive Barker in the slightest for disowning this.
It does get a star bump up for the caravan massacre, and the most gratuitous way to get nudity in your movie - and Rex taking a piss. It’s a shame it didn’t stay on the same crazy level the whole film.
