Scorpio Rising

Scorpio Rising ★★★★★

Masculinity as a force hurtling towards death. Anger uses religious and fascist iconography as a reflection of the shifting (male-dominated) social order in the midst of Vietnam and post-WW2 America; it's all a spiral downward into detached, empty "comradery" as a way of obscuring the void in the male soul. It shows us that hell is merely the revving of an engine and the wail of a siren in the dark.
