This takes its sweet time. It stretches out its social commentary so thin in the process. It gets to the point where the character actions start being mindnumpingly illogical for the sake of contrivance. When it finally does get to the point where the audience is supposed to be flabbergasted by the cruelty on display, it’s impossible to feel bad for these characters. It revels in weightless misery porn for what feels like an eternity. This one misses the mark completely.
