Weird little fucking boy and weird little fucking girl strike a romance.

    But damn it’s adorable

Damn. Seeing it again just makes me appreciate the singular, incredible vision of this film.

Adding this to the list of movies that NEED to be seen in a theatre

Hitchcock once said “What is drama but life with the dull bits cut out.”

It leaves one to wonder “where do all of those dull bits go?”

Here. They go right fucking here.

No conflict, no plot, no character arc. Just a woman eating, going to the DMV, cleaning and occasionally having sex.

    THAT’S IT.

THIS SLOG OF A MOVIE IS THREE AND A HALF FUCKING HOURS LONG.

I can understand that that’s the intention of the film and why people would find this good.

But holy shit not for me.

Her red flags are big but her smile is bigger.

This film moves away from the traditional slasher and becomes a full-fledged character study. It’s shot with dazzling colour and momentum, edited beautifully and filled with incredible sets and sequences.

But the star of the show here is undoubtedly Mia Goth. She carries the film on her back with her bubbly, yet demented performance. Her monologue near the end was really surprising for the film.

Probably one of the best horror prequels/sequels out there. I cannot wait for Maxxxine!
