Supermarket ★★★★

the 70's never looked grimier than in my favorite type of sub-genre in crime films: running from the cops and bein' a klepto! gritty, dark realism with a hint of action within a color wheel of blacks, reds, oranges, and yellows. criminally underrated for unique cinematography, writing, and general aesthetic.

do yourself a favor and look up the United Film interview where director Roland Klick called himself the "film version of a punk rocker." ridiculously cool dude.
