Lots of folks in the comic shop were angry about this one because it was *so different* from the other Marvel movies, and it’s a stone cold bummer that a director with a more distinct visual style and some signature quirks is enough to take people out of their comfort zone. I don’t love the “house style” approach to comics, and it’s lousy seeing the movies adopt the same strategy. Feels like everyone got so used to vanilla that they can’t even stomach the idea of French vanilla once in a while. Anyway, I’d like more weird stylistic swings in comic book movies, thanks.

Facing Nolan 2022
An absolutely uncritical puff piece produced by Nolan Ryan and his 2 sons. Wouldn’t even call this a documentary as much as an expensive “Good job, dad” card for his 75th birthday. Wish I just read a wiki or watched YouTube highlights in hindsight.
