    Bizarrely insane. It's a fittingly uneven ending to this unfocused trilogy. But I'm glad they just keep swinging for the fences with these.

    The thread of generational trauma and survivor's guilt is dropped for a story that tries to reposition the very neat cosmic evil of Michael Myers as a response to abuse and I'm not sure it works.

    At the same time, apart from the inevitable ending, I genuinely had no idea where this was going half the time…
