  Loved seeing the origin of one of my favorite horror movies. Also enjoyed the strange music a lot. Reverse bear trap, you will always be famous.

  this was exactly the kind of movie i wanted to watch on a sunday afternoon. folk and regional horror with lots of mystery is always going to be a big hit with me and this was no exception. i loved the performance of christopher lee - who always understood the assignment - and the feeling of mystery and suspense throughout. the fog, scenery and the score all really added to this to make it great too.

  I have come to discover, since I started watching the old silent horror movies, that I really love them. I love black and white movies in general anyway, but the way these silent pictures rely so much on music cues and the expressions of the actors just really works so well with horror for me. This was a beautifully atmospheric and haunting movie and I'll definitely be watching it again and recommending it to people.
