A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors ★★★½

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 features a group of messed-up teens in a mental institution. While their doctors think they suffer from guilt and anxiety, we know they really suffer from Freddy.

The premise of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is definitely an improvement over the last movie. In that movie, we followed one fairly annoying, angsty teenager around for the entirety of the runtime. In this film, we have multiple teens to focus on. While they're all clichés, they're still somewhat interesting.

This movie also has a different tone. It almost feels like an action movie rather than a horror movie. The movie moves along at a pretty good clip.

One thing that bothers me about these movies is the physics of the dreamworld. Sometimes objects in the dreamworld—like a metal bar—seem solid. Other times they're completely malleable. Why can't the teens, or Freddy, alter things to their liking?
