BLUE EYES? BLUE EYES!! WHAT IDIOT PAINTER PAINTED HER WITH BLUE EYES? THEY'RE GREEEEEN. MARIANNE KNEW THAT BECAUSE SHE SPENT ANY TIME AT ALL WITH HELOISE AND BECAUSE SHE CAN ACTUALLY USE HER OWN WORKING EYES TO SEE THAT THEY'RE GREEN!!
AND WHO'S THAT ANEMIC LITTLE TWERP? I GUESS IT'S JUST REALLY FINAL HUH? SHE'S JUST GONE OFF WITH THAT DUDE--
oh, wait, the book...
Why did you have to look back, Orpheus?
In all seriousness, this film was amazing. It was so intimate and such a natural unfolding of this relationship. From a story and directing standpoint, there were some great abstract techniques that I felt worked really well.
