[The Golden Age of Hollywood] is a term used in film criticism to describe both a narrative and visual style of film-making which became characteristic of American cinema between the 1910s (rapidly after World War I) and the 1960s. It eventually became the most powerful and pervasive style of film-making worldwide.
For whatever reason, I couldn’t find another list that covered a similar topic or canon of films from the era, and so I decided to make a list of my own. Listed here are the 500 films I'd recommend you watch in order to get a complete history of Hollywood's Golden Era. Consider it a checklist; that's what I'll use it as.
