    SS Experiment Love Camp 1976

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

“What have you done with my balls?!”

SS Experiment Love Camp is a 1976 Nazi exploitation film directed by Sergio Garrone. The plot concerns non-consensual sexual experimenting with female prisoners of a concentration camp run by Colonel von Kleiben, a Nazi officer who needs a testicle transplant after being castrated by a Russian girl.

Fuck, I’m glad I’m over the Nazisploitation films, they range from uncomfortable (in a bad way) to downright boring, with this fully sitting in the latter.

    Asides…

“we always make fun of it and stuff. but isn't everything we do in life a way to be loved a little more?”

beautiful. seeing jesse and celine’s love blossom through pure conversation and human understanding is so touching. there’s also something so nostalgic about this film. even though their love story is happening in real time, the film captures it like the fleeting fairytale-esque moment it is, which makes the ending so perfect and bittersweet

    i think this is…

The most interesting facet of The Night Porter is that the sexual relationship at the center of the film, between a Holocaust survivor and a Nazi (and said relationship is a rekindling of a relationship that occured a concentration camp) is that it is consensual. The audience sees implications of sexual assault from the beginning of the relationship in two juxtaposed scenes of oral sex (one in the camp and one a decade later), but it is only implication. The…

The slow buildup to Charlotte Rampling's and Dirk Bogarde's explosive reacquainting gets 4,5 stars from me, but sadly the movie takes a bit of a nosedive after that. Still, I enjoyed seeing their masochistic relationship unfold on screen. Rampling is magnificent of course, showing immense vulnerability but also tremendous strength.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

“Welcome ladies, to Love Camp number 7.”

Love Camp 7 is a 1969 American women-in-prison Nazisploitation B-movie directed by Lee Frost which follows two female Army agents who go undercover at a Nazi prison camp to get information from a scientist being held there.

Reaching end of the 72 film video nasty list and here we have another Nazisploitation — it’s hardly my favourite genre.

Unfortunately, Love Camp 7 is just completely and utterly boring, asides from an ending where…
