Wasn’t digging this at all in the first act despite the off the wall performance from Mamoa, but then John Cena showed up to be the funcle in this movie after being kinda bad in 9, incredible use of his talents. I don’t know it’s kinda dumb but it worked for me, Mamoa was compelling enough as an agent of chaos, a lot of the things we’ve seen before but honestly I’d rather get slight rehashes than magnets and space.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
Change is good.
On my first watch of this I realized how much of an emotional experience it would be after just losing a dog. I didn’t really want to write a review because it was pretty simple, this movie was here for me when I needed something to be there for me. Part of me wrote off how much this resonated with because of this, but on a rewatch while this is definitely part of it, this might be… -
No Hard Feelings 2023
Kinda really fun until it ultimately has to go for an uplifting message?
There’s a scene in this movie where JLaw’s colead kinda steals the show? Dude has chops, I was really impressed.
Good to see Lawrence be one of the legit dramatic movie stars go to a full out comedy film. -

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero 2022
Really fun! Goofy premise and I kinda like these movies centering on non Goku and Vegeta characters.

Past Lives 2023
Whoops I never logged this.
I saw this at 10:50pm with only two other film wackos and it was good. I didn't see the same hype that a lot of others saw but I still recognize a lot of the greatness. I think I was ultimately wanting a bit more from a particular aspect of the script. Hard to get into without spoilers obviously. I dunno good flick! Definitely want to rewatch it as it's only gone up in the months since watching. -

Bottoms 2023
They don’t hate us for being gay, they hate us for being gay, ugly, and untalented
If Shiva Baby was a promising debut, Bottoms is a scorching cementing of Seligman as one of the best young filmmakers we have.
Euphoric comedic experience, the hardest I’ve ever laughed in a theatre and I think the only rival would be The Lego Movie which is one of my favorite films. Seligman can do anything at this point and I can’t wait to… -

The Brave Little Toaster 1987
So I was watching this for a group I’m in and the dvd I rented skipped over the last 30 minutes, then I go on here and low and behold I’ve already watched it? Watching 2000+ movies has really put a tizzy on remembering things I’ve seen before haha.
It’s interesting, I read my previous review and was dumbfounded to realize “yep that’s what I think 4 years later”
