Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 2023
This Actually kind of RULED!! The characters are likable. Chris Pine is of course the most charming but the rest of the cast gets plenty to do. The action scenes are surprisingly unique, the one scene involving the shapeshifter escaping the castle had me in awe. The world is very inviting & quiet fun to explore. IM SHOCKED the story, tone, & humor blended together so well. I was worried the campy joke after joke feel would ruin the movie but they pulled it off. As someone who has never played D&D or had any interest in this movie I hope we get more from this series!

Shazam! Fury of the Gods 2023
Is wholesome fun. David F Sandberg delivers a pretty entertaining superhero family film. Rachel Zegler & Jack Dylan Grazer work great off each other. The Shazam-Fam dynamic is the most enjoyable aspect for me. The final battle is pretty stunning. Also love when the director implements his love of horror in a few scenes. All that said It’s filled with typical superhero cliches some tone issues and really just feeling generic over all. Still it’s harmless nice sequel.

John Wick: Chapter 4 2023
The action movie to rival ALL ACTION MOVIES. Truly a wild spectacle of pure mayhem out doing everything done previously in the series. Keanu Reeves epic journey for freedom comes full circle in a grand way. Donnie Yen is a stand out, but I also loved Bill Skarsgard, Shamier Anderson & his vicious dog. The 3 hour runtime flew by for me. Ending might leave some unhappy but if permanent I think it to be a great ending for the series.

This is BRUTAL BLOODY NAIL BITER!! New York is used to its full advantage creating some of the best chases & suspenseful moments of the franchise. The returning four survivors finally feel like family and as important as the legacy characters. It’s a shame Sidney isn’t included but within the context of the film it makes sense to leave her out.
